Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
Welcome to Gracera ("Gracera," "we," "our," or "us"). Gracera is a Bible reading, encouragement, and reflection application. This Privacy Policy explains the information processed when you use the app and related website, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.
By using Gracera, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we will seek that consent separately.
1. Information We Process
Depending on the features you use, the following categories of information may be processed:
- Anonymous app identifier: The app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create an anonymous Firebase user identifier. You are not required to provide a name or email address to create that app identity.
- Cloud-stored app data: Firebase Cloud Firestore stores the app data associated with that identifier, including the user record, preferences, favorites, reading progress, journals, playlists, widget templates, notification settings, and notification history when you use those features.
- Content you choose to create: Journal entries and other content you choose to save may contain personal reflections. Please do not include information you do not wish to store in the service.
- Usage data: Firebase Analytics records app interactions and event metadata, such as screen views, feature use, paywall views, purchase attempts and outcomes, and restore-purchase events. The app sets the anonymous Firebase user identifier as the Analytics user ID.
- Subscription information: RevenueCat processes subscription entitlement and purchase-related information tied to the anonymous app identifier. The applicable app store processes payment. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
- Technical request data: Cloudflare and other hosting or delivery providers may process IP address, browser or device information, and request metadata needed to deliver website or media content, operate the account-deletion request service, and protect those services.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide Bible reading, favorites, preferences, and other app features.
- To maintain continuity and synchronize the app data associated with the anonymous app identifier.
- To validate subscriptions and provide access to paid features.
- To understand which features and premium content attract interest, how users reach subscription offers, and whether those interactions lead to subscriptions, so we can improve content and the subscription experience.
- To monitor app performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve the user experience.
- To protect the security and integrity of the app and related services.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Services and Providers
Gracera uses or may use the following providers in connection with its features:
- Google Firebase: Firebase Anonymous Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Analytics for app identity, app data, and usage measurement. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
- RevenueCat: Subscription entitlement management and purchase-related events. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Google Play and Apple App Store: Purchase processing and subscription administration, where applicable.
- Cloudflare: Cloudflare Pages hosts this website; Cloudflare R2 stores and delivers media; Cloudflare Workers operates the account-deletion request endpoint; and Cloudflare D1 stores the submitted deletion-request record for the request-review process. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
These providers may process information under their own policies and applicable contractual arrangements. We do not sell your personal journal content to advertisers.
4. Analytics and Advertising
We use Firebase Analytics to measure app interactions, including feature use, premium-content views, subscription-offer views, purchase attempts and outcomes, and restore-purchase events. This helps us understand content preferences, evaluate subscription conversion, and improve the app. We do not send journal text as Analytics event content.
Gracera offers paid subscriptions; a subscription offer is not itself a third-party advertisement. We will update this notice if our advertising or analytics practices change.
5. Storage and Security
App data described above is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore. Some settings and downloaded content may also be stored on your device. Website files and media are delivered through Cloudflare Pages and R2. The account-deletion request form sends its submission to a Cloudflare Worker; the request record is stored in Cloudflare D1 for review. We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information, including secure connections to service providers. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete individual journal entries and favorites directly in the app. Deleting the app or clearing device storage does not necessarily remove cloud-stored data.
To request deletion of data associated with your anonymous app account, use our account-deletion request page or email quentinchen79@gmail.com with the subject “Gracera Data Deletion Request.” We manually verify a request before acting on it because an Account ID alone does not prove ownership. Please do not send passwords, payment data, recovery codes, or journal content in a request.
After verification and where the deletion process is available, the service is designed to remove the Firebase user, associated Firestore user-data tree, the related RevenueCat subscriber record, and to submit a Firebase Analytics deletion request. Provider processing may be asynchronous and may be subject to provider policies and legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or recordkeeping exceptions. Submitting a request does not itself authorize or guarantee deletion.
The public request form stores the contact email, any optional Account ID, and optional details for up to 30 days for verification; the request record is then removed. Other data is retained only as needed to provide the service or for legitimate security or legal purposes. Store and payment records may be retained by the applicable store or provider under its own rules.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for particular processing. You can also manage or cancel subscriptions through the store where you purchased them. Contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights.
8. Children's Privacy
Gracera is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be deleted, please contact us.
9. International Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate protections for international data transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the app, our practices, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this version became effective. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
